Much of her work deals with issues of national identity and the understanding of cultures that she was brought up in. Series of Postcards (2011): This new work focuses on the Soviet history of occupation, specifically in the Czech Republic and what influence it left behind. The project looks at both Czech and Russian national and historical identity through architecture as that is what Prague is widely known for. In 2008, Aleksandr decided to take his interest in photography further and moved to the UK, where he studied Art Foundation in Cambridge School of Visual and Performing Art and then he enrolled on the BA Photography course at London College of Communication. At the moment the artist’s style is in the process of development.
